This Incredible book is full of different situations that connect to what you can become if you accept the challenges that you faced with. Also, I loved that faith was a big part of this book and how through the author's journey in life, God was always present. I loved this quote used in this book when it came to the topic of Forgiveness, “To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” —Lewis B. Smedes. We are taught to forgive and to change one bad habit, but until we experience that need for both of them, we may not feel they are necessary to do. But in this book, you will find great examples of why you need both to move forward in your life.

Trophimus Odie
Trophimus Odie, the author of Crossing Cultures and Thorns and kisses, has mentored many young people in over the years, becoming one of the big contributors to the contemporary gospel industry in his country. Observing the hopeless and helpless state of so many, he writes books to share his journey, offer hope, and help others make better choices in their life. As a hard worker and devout Christian, Trophimus has been in Christian service for over fifteen years in different capacities; an entrepreneur, a sound engineer/audio producer, and a photographer (certified by the New York Institute of Photography); and is one of the founding members of Pure Souls, a gospel hip-hop group based in Kampala, Uganda. Currently, he lives in Canada, having moved there in 2015 with his family, and enjoys reading and researching, playing board games, and visiting with friends and family.
